Sandhya Le Grand
Director & Group COO
Sandhya brings experience from a number of other sectors into her role in market research data collection, recruitment and fieldwork. She was originally raised and educated in the UK where she graduated as an industrial chemist but decided to move to Australia instead. Whilst there, she took up roles within the financial services industry managing some of the country’s most challenging call centres over a 20 year period.
As a result, that call centre knowledge has proven invaluable to CDM Direct where Sandhya now holds the position of Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all operations. At the moment, Sandhya’s role at CDM Direct also includes management of data, coordinating data processing and programming resources within CDM Direct.
Naomi Haque
COO
Naomi moved to New Zealand to complete her Bachelors in Education at the Auckland University of Technology. Whilst studying, Naomi worked part-time for TKW as a Market Research Interviewer. Eventually, she started recognising her own rapport building and professional manner. So, she joined CDM Direct to better utilise her customer service skills.
Despite her qualifications, Naomi had both flair and passion for providing exceptional customer service. She is diligent, has an excellent work ethic and a “can do” attitude together with an ability to think outside the box. As a result, she was promoted to Inbound Team Leader and shortly after as our Operations Manager in New Zealand.
Vani Pandya

As Chief Growth Officer at CDM Direct, Vani brings more than a decade of experience in crafting exceptional customer experiences for call centres to the table. A seasoned professional hailing from the picturesque Suva, Fiji Islands. With over 11 years immersed in the outsourcing industry, my journey has been marked by dynamic collaborations with diverse clients. I’ve had the privilege of working closely with regional clients from Australia and New Zealand, as well as fostering connections with clients based in Europe.
My career in the outsourcing industry is defined by a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and effective team management. Currently, I serve as the Contact Center Manager at CDM Direct, where I oversee a dedicated team of customer service representatives, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and consistently meeting performance targets. My responsibilities include performance monitoring, reporting and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving process improvement initiatives. I also maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders to align goals and enhance the overall customer service experience.
Previously, I held various leadership roles over the past 11 years and my final role was of a Call Center Manager, and leading a team of over 150 employees serving clients in Australia and New Zealand. My role involved extensive stakeholder management and process improvement to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Outside the realm of outsourcing, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life. When the sun graces us with its presence, you’ll often find me indulging in picnics, embracing the outdoors. During leisurely moments, I’m an avid movie enthusiast, exploring stories that captivate the imagination.
I am currently pursing my Professional Diploma in Business Management at the University of the South Pacific.

With over a decade of experience servicing customer and client needs I am able to employ my expertise in strategic planning and sales to design and implement successful customer acquisition campaigns, contributing to our organisation’s robust retention programs. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor in Media and Communications from Fiji National University, which allows me to leverage my academic knowledge in business and management to enhance our growth initiatives. My communication and interpersonal skills, underpinned by ongoing studies play a pivotal role in cross-functional team collaborations, ensuring that every campaign is a step towards our collective success.
I have a creative flair and a knack of exploring new opportunities and wanting to learn new and innovative ideas. I am always on the look out for ways to help the company grow by identifying, implementing, and optimising the company’s services. I collaborate with teams to analyse data, experiment with new tactics, and align it with the company’s objectives. I’m very approachable and friendly and am willing to lend a helping hand. Desmond McLellan

With a long career as a Chartered Accountant spanning over 25 years. I worked predominantly within commercial finance roles with a strong emphasis on the finance and insurance sectors. I began my career at one of the Big 4 firms, which equipped me with a robust foundation in financial expertise and problem-solving skills.
Having relocated to New Zealand in October 2022 from Australia, I have extensive experience as a Financial Controller across many locations. Prior to moving to New Zealand I lived in Sydney 6 years and spent over two decades in Darwin, having originally moved from South Africa in 1997.
In my current role with CDM Direct, I oversee the management and achievement of financial objectives across three key locations: Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. This responsibility encompasses all facets of finance, highlighting his role in ensuring operational seamlessness and facilitating informed decision-making. The finance team, comprising four members, plays a crucial role in supporting the business’s operations and strategic initiatives.
My professional profile underscores my comprehensive skill set in financial management, commercial acumen, and leadership capabilities, all of which contribute to building a highly effective and motivated finance function within the organisation.

Sunjana, a seasoned accountant with extensive experience in both government and private sectors, is currently the Senior Finance Manager at CDM Direct, overseeing the strategic development and operations of the rapidly growing AaaS division. She ensures the efficient delivery of accounting and HR services to clients. Holding a Master of Commerce (Accounting), a Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic Accounting and a certified Chartered Accountant. Sunjana is also a member of numerous professional organisations. She is an advocate for gender equality and women’s advancement in the corporate world.

Beyond the CDM Direct realm, I find joy in outdoor activities like gardening. Weekends are reserved for cherished moments spent with best friends and family.
